Smote the Woke

Woke-ism is the real pandemic.

And it is a contagion that seems to be everywhere. Millions are dropping like flies from its effects, as we speak.

And as it spreads, I’m beginning to sense a pattern here. The term “Go Woke, Go Broke” may better be restated as: “Go Woke and Be Smote.”

I am developing the belief that God is smiting the woke companies, the woke cities, and the woke government. The problem for the rest of us is that as God pours out His wrath, the destruction of companies, banks, entire economies and even nations will leave a path of devastation. And it will be very difficult, if not impossible, to avoid the effects of it.

Some of the evidence my theory is based on is in the following examples:  

Woke-a-Cola

First we saw Coca-Cola requiring that their employees take tests to determine their self-awareness about their “whiteness.” Company ‘diversity training’ screenshots were brought forth by a whistleblower and posted on YouTube, showing that Coke’s mandatory staff course urged its employees to quote: “Be less white.” And the stock prices fell through the floor. Way to go, Coke. Piss off 70% of your market base. Brilliant.

In June 2020, Coca-Cola suspended advertising on Facebook and Instagram, joining a group of left-wing groups as part of a campaign forcing social media giants to more strictly police hate speech and disinformation. The boycott was directed at Facebook’s refusal at the time to censor posts by Donald Trump.

“Yet, the company’s concern for justice is decidedly one-sided: for all its activism in the U.S., it lobbied against a bill that would ban products made with forced labor in China’s Xinjiang province,” McLaughlin writes.

When Coca-Cola executives released a policy requiring that all attorneys hired by the firm meet massive minority “quotas”, their own shareholders rose up against them. Through the American Civil Rights project, they sent a letter to Coca-Cola demanding the company either “publicly retract the discriminatory outside-counsel policies it announced in January (2021) or provide access to the corporate records related to the decision of Coca-Cola’s officers and directors to adopt and retain those illegal policies.

“By adopting policies of contracting, refusing to contract, and altering the terms of signed contracts on the basis of the race of Coke’s counterparties, the Coke D&O have exposed Coke and its shareholders to material risk of liability,” the letter reads. Coke set forth policies that are based on race, and are therefore illegal.”

Then, Rand Paul, Donald Trump and Ted Cruz began to call for boycotts of Coke. Several legislators from Coke’s home state of Georgia pulled their products from their offices.

Next – and you can’t make this stuff up – the company’s General Counsel, who had pushed for the discriminatory legal contracts for the company – Bradley Gayton, abruptly left after just eight months on the job, after taking a $4 million sign-on payment and a monthly consulting fee of $666,666. He “transitioned into a strategic consultant role” (he was fired, and during the brief time he was employed, he was very costly to Coke). His replacement, Monica Douglas, told the company’s legal department that Gayton’s departure meant a “pause” on the company’s controversial diversity initiatives.

In December 2021, Coke had to issue a Recall when metal washers and bolts were found inside many of their Minute Maid products. Most of the eight states in which the Recall was issued were blue (Pennsylvania, Connecticut, New York, N. Carolina, Maryland, Virginia, Maine, and New Jersey were affected).

In March 2023, a leak sprung from a 20,000 lb. ammonia tank at a Coca-Cola facility in Auburndale, Florida forced an evacuation of the entire plant as well as a shelter-in-place order for the surrounding area.

*The stock price of Coca-Cola is currently holding at around $60.00/share, and it seems to be gaining over the past year, since the company backed off of its boisterous woke policies. It did fall in early 2020 to around $35.00/share, and while the company has tried to portray itself as a social justice warrior, it has been publicly humiliated, threatened with legal action by its own shareholders, and some think pressured by Georgian (its own home state’s) government to back off of its craziness.  

Disney, Immoral

Next, we witnessed Disney shoot themselves in the foot, as the video of their President of General Entertainment Content, Karey Burke, leaked, as she talked about her two queer children – one transgender and one pansexual – while calling for more gay lead characters in children’s content the entertainment behemoth produces.

Shortly thereafter, Governor Ron DeSantis signed the “Parental Rights in Education Act” into law, in response to which Disney released a statement saying, “Florida’s HB 1557, also known as the “Don’t Say Gay’ bill, should never have passed and should never have been signed into law. Our goal as a company is for this law to be repealed by the legislature or struck down in the courts, and we remain committed to supporting the national and state organizations working to achieve that. We are dedicated to standing up for the rights and safety of LGBTQ+ members of the Disney family, as well as the LGBTQ+ community in Florida and across the country.”

Four Disney employees were arrested last year (in 2022) in a child-trafficking sting.

The result of all this? Disney stock prices began falling directly thereafter.

From: “movieguide”: Disney Corp. stock fell in the second quarter, and continued to plummet. They fell 12% in the fourth quarter of 2022 as they continued to push for immoral content. Disney’s vocal stance on promoting LGBTQ+ messages in their children’s content affected them negatively. Wall Street Multiples for the Hollywood mainstay, Walt Disney Company, dropped by 41% over in the past year, the lowest number posted by Disney since 2018 (excluding pandemic-era market reports), according to “The Wrap.”

“The fact that Disney is trading at $110 is stunning*, it’s hard to believe,’ Jessica Reif Ehrlich, a senior U.S. media and entertainment analyst at Bank of America Securities, said. “As the market collapses, multiples collapse. We are in that period of it being doom and gloom.”

*The stock price of Disney was up to $200/share in 2020. As of March 16, 2023, it is $92.67.

Netflix, for the first time ever, lost subscribers after embarrassing itself by producing Michelle Obama’s disastrous reality show, and many Christians have been outraged at its plethora of blasphemous content being produced.

Microsoft

In November 2021 Microsoft created a program for diversity called “Ignite.” It was a disaster. In October 2022 there was a huge dip inn the company’s stock prices, and overall for 2022, the stock went down 29.02%. It hasn’t regained its value.

 

California

After declaring itself an “Abortion Sanctuary State,” California began experiencing “atmospheric rivers” causing major flooding and landslides. The San Bernadino mountains received seven feet of snow. And as the spring snow melt comes, the flooding is expected to be even more catastrophic.

Turkey and Syria Earthquake

On February 6 2023, a 7.8 magnitude earthquake hit southeast Turkey near the Syrian border, killing more than 52,000 people. While Turkey cannot be accused of being “woke,” it can also not be accused of being Godly. And neither can Syria. Years of anti-Israel hatred and policies have come back to haunt them. So, again, as we see governments become ungodly and mock God in their policies and practices, we will see them suffer consequences. We should all take note of this.   

*There has been some mending in the relationship as Israel dispatched aid – both in the way of supplies and disaster workers – to Turkey to work to save lives in the aftermath of the catastrophe. And they did.

U.S. Military

The wokeness of the U.S. Military is disastrous, causing major national security issues for all of us. Recruitment is down 40%. Our Generals and Admirals are more concerned with transgender and race worship than they are with national defense.

The transgender Rachel Levine, now an Admiral, serves as the Assistant Secretary of Health and Human Services, and is now pushing for transgender surgeries for children to be completely acceptable and supported by our woke government. (And I am not even going to go into the Chiden-Biden administration’s push on abortion.)

General Millie, who spoke out against President Trump while serving under him, publicly admitted that he told his Chinese counterpart that if President Trump ever ordered an attack on China, he would call him to warn him ahead of any such attack.

That used to be called treason. Today it is perfectly acceptable. And the media ignores it, of course.

As for the Brigadier General Ryder, spokesman for the Pentagon: He arrogantly told us that the Chinese Spy Balloon was, indeed, a Chinese Spy Balloon, surveilling and collecting data on our major military bases, including our most sensitive nuclear launch sites. But, he said, it’s okay. No worries. And when asked if its location was classified, he told the American public that if they wanted to know where it was they could just go outside and look up.

God help us.

Bank Failures

Now, this week, we’ve seen the failure of five major banks. Silicon Valley Bank, the second largest bank failure in U.S. history, which had donated $73 million to Black Lives Matter. They had committed $5 Billion to ESG: Environmental Social Governance (ESG is the “Sustainable Energy” policy that brought down the country of Sri Lanka and has practically crippled Europe). And SVB’s leadership was loaded with heavy Hillary Clinton donors.

The NFL went woke, and suffered greatly for it. CNN and MSNBC went woke, and then they went broke. CNN has had to close its headquarters and after firing its CEO (Trump-hating Jeff Zucker, a real nut-job), has had to restructure (but it’s not working out much better for them now). Twitter has been completely humiliated, and only redeemed by Elon Musk, a strong supporter of free speech and free market capitalism.

We will see others fall, I am convinced of it, as we watch God Smote the Woke.

So, look out, those of you who buy into this Marxist (communist) movement. You Americans who advance China above the U.S. China opens a new coal plant every 10 days, while they dupe you into adopting their Marxist economic reforms, guilting you into believing that electric car batteries are better than petroleum. They want you to switch to anything but oil-based products (e.g.: solar, electric battery-powered cars, etc.) because the United States is rich in oil and they don’t want the U.S. to be rich. That empowers them and demotes us, you ninnies. How stupid can you be? You think you’re doing something so noble, as you mock a free society, the free market system, and the Christian church. You spit in God’s face. Your lack of Biblical knowledge and lack of a Biblical world view (which means you lack any understanding of God’s world view), is going to be your undoing.  

And while we watch, we Christians should pray for God’s mercy to be on us.  We are going to need it.
