Zechariah 3:2

² The Lord said to Satan, “The Lord rebuke you, Satan! The Lord, who has chosen Jerusalem, rebuke you! Is not this man a burning stick snatched from the fire?”

For context, here is the entire Chapter 3 of The Book of Zechariah:

Clean Garments for the High Priest

3 Then he showed me Joshua the high priest standing before the angel of the Lord, and Satan standing at his right side to accuse him. ² The Lord said to Satan, “The Lord rebuke you, Satan! The Lord, who has chosen Jerusalem, rebuke you! Is not this man a burning stick snatched from the fire?”

³ Now Joshua was dressed in filthy clothes as he stood before the angel. ⁴ The angel said to those who were standing before him, “Take off his filthy clothes.”

Then he said to Joshua, “See, I have taken away your sin, and I will put fine garments on you.”

⁵ Then I said, “Put a clean turban on his head.” So they put a clean turban on his head and clothed him, while the angel of the Lord stood by.

⁶ The angel of the Lord gave this charge to Joshua: ⁷ “This is what the Lord Almighty says: ‘If you will walk in obedience to me and keep my requirements, then you will govern my house and have charge of my courts, and I will give you a place among these standing here.

⁸ “‘Listen, High Priest Joshua, you and your associates seated before you, who are men symbolic of things to come: I am going to bring my servant, the Branch. ⁹ See, the stone I have set in front of Joshua! There are seven eyes on that one stone, and I will engrave an inscription on it,’ says the Lord Almighty, ‘and I will remove the sin of this land in a single day.

¹⁰ “‘In that day each of you will invite your neighbor to sit under your vine and fig tree,’ declares the Lord Almighty.”

In this, the third chapter of the Book of Zechariah, what is demonstrated is how the Lord saves people from the fire. The filthy clothes that the High Priest, Joshua, was wearing were symbolic of our filthy sin, which we are all born into. When one comes to believe in Jesus Christ as the Son of God Who died on the cross to take God’s wrath for the sin of humanity upon Himself,  so you and I wouldn’t have to, we are given clean clothes (a new, pure Spirit) and a clean turban (representative of how our minds can be cleansed – set aright – by reading the Word of God). Snatched from the fire is actually quite literally being snatched out of the clutches of Satan and rescued from the eternal destination of Hell.

I’m taking a hard pass on hell, thank you very much.

Joshua 24:15

But if serving the Lord seems undesirable to you, then choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods your ancestors served beyond the Euphrates, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you are living. But as for me and my household, we will serve the Lord.”

Do you want to have your soul saved? Escape hell and go to heaven for eternity? Did you have a Christian grandmother or Christian parents who have already died? They’re there, in heaven. But you have to agree with God on His plan to save you – you cannot decide on a different plan of your own. It doesn’t work that way. In other words, to reject God’s plan for salvation (faith in His Son, Jesus Christ) is to reject God. It’s either Christ or sin. Heaven or hell. Those are your choices.

If you “identify” as a Christian (but have never been born again) or you are a moderate (maybe even a Democrat), or a conservative but not a Christian, I believe you are being given a gift from God in our country by the left-winged, demonic forces that have taken ahold of our government and much of our society. The gift is that you are being given a view into the brutal insanity of evil. You are being given the gift of seeing up close and personal, what hell will be like. (Only it will be much worse than this.) Can you see it now? Just take one look at the Democratic Party and its ideology; its epic-failure-of-a-woke set of policies and the path of destruction in its wake. Psychopathy, sociopathy, and complete insanity are on full display, right before our very eyes. You are being given a taste of hell right here on earth. How does it taste? And that putrid smell…the smell of hatred, fear, lying, cheating, murder and desperation. How does it smell? The devil has a hold of our self-appointed “president” and you can see it and you can smell it. He is insane, and the author of that insanity is Satan. There is no uglier, more rancid stench.

So if you want to escape the lunacy of this world, which will be even worse – unimaginably worse – in hell, and change the trajectory of your soul (which is your mind, will and emotions) and your spirit, so that you are heaven-bound, you will have to decide to put your faith in Jesus Christ. Not the Jesus Christ of “A Course in Miracles,” not the Jesus Christ of “The Book of Mormon.” There is a God, His Name is Jesus Christ…not Buddha, Shiva, Mohammed or any of the other man-made religious figures. He is not Dagon, Baal, Ashtoreth, Molech, or Baal-Zebub, either. 

And don’t kid yourself into thinking there are many paths to God. There is only One.

The Narrow and Wide Gates

“Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it.”

There is only One, and He is found in the Holy Bible. It’s that simple.

No other god will come to your rescue because there is only One.

Once you put your faith in Jesus Christ, it is important that you understand more about the Lord of your life by reading the Bible. And once you begin to do that, God will speak to you. Once you start praying to Jesus Christ you will begin to see and experience miracles in your life. Your faith will strengthen and your life will change. See to it that you tell your children and other loved ones and encourage them to save themselves, too. Because you don’t want them to have more of this insanity in hell. This already feels and smells and looks like hell, so more of it would be…well, you know…eternal  hell.

By the way, when the Rich Man from Luke Chapter 16 went to hell, he begged Abraham to help him. But it was too late. Once you’re there, there is no way out, so I highly recommend not going at all.

Oh, and also – your time for choosing is running out, and quickly.

The Rich Man and Lazarus

¹⁹ “There was a rich man who was dressed in purple and fine linen and lived in luxury every day. ²⁰ At his gate was laid a beggar named Lazarus, covered with sores ²¹ and longing to eat what fell from the rich man’s table. Even the dogs came and licked his sores.

²² “The time came when the beggar died and the angels carried him to Abraham’s side. The rich man also died and was buried. ²³ In Hades, where he was in torment, he looked up and saw Abraham far away, with Lazarus by his side. ²⁴ So he called to him, ‘Father Abraham, have pity on me and send Lazarus to dip the tip of his finger in water and cool my tongue, because I am in agony in this fire.’

²⁵ “But Abraham replied, ‘Son, remember that in your lifetime you received your good things, while Lazarus received bad things, but now he is comforted here and you are in agony. ²⁶ And besides all this, between us and you a great chasm has been set in place, so that those who want to go from here to you cannot, nor can anyone cross over from there to us.’

²⁷ “He answered, ‘Then I beg you, father, send Lazarus to my family, ²⁸ for I have five brothers. Let him warn them, so that they will not also come to this place of torment.’

²⁹ “Abraham replied, ‘They have Moses and the Prophets; let them listen to them.’

³⁰ “‘No, father Abraham,’ he said, ‘but if someone from the dead goes to them, they will repent.’

³¹ “He said to him, ‘If they do not listen to Moses and the Prophets, they will not be convinced even if someone rises from the dead.’”

Snatched From the Fire

Pray this now:

I now acknowledge and declare my faith in the Holy Trinity; that God the Father is, indeed, my father; that He sent His Son, Jesus Christ, to die for my sins and to take back all authority in heaven and earth. As it pertains to my life, Jesus is my Lord and Savior. I believe He willingly died on the cross to satisfy the required punishment for my sins. I believe He died, was resurrected and rose again, and now sits at the right hand of God the Father in heaven. I believe He is alive.

Furthermore, I believe the same Holy Spirit that raised Jesus from the dead now lives in me (Romans 8:11). I believe the Holy Bible is the only inerrant, truthful Word of God, and I believe God cannot lie. Therefore, I will believe what God’s Word tells me.

I hereby give permission to Jesus to work in my life. I submit my will to Him and ask Him to take over as Lord of my life. I will serve Him.

I choose to make Jesus Christ my first love, and to hold onto Him with a devotion that cannot be broken. I will wait and watch for His return and put my hope in Him above all else.

I ask You now, Lord Jesus, to show me what you created me to do with my life so I can do it. I ask you to heal my body, give me peace and strength, and remove and keep away from me, all fear.
