During our overnight last night (Friday night) it was daytime in Iran. Iran’s weekends are Thursday and Friday. So Saturday wouldn’t been a regular workday, like our Monday. However, since it’s a national holiday – Ramadan – the workday would’ve still been in process, but with a bit of a reduced workforce in place. The U.S. and Israel had planned an attack on Iran for tonight since months and years of negotiations between the U.S. and Iran had failed so many times, it had become clear that no amount of time would ever solve the impasse: The U.S. insisted that Iran give up any goal of ever having nuclear weapons, and Iran would not do it. They stalled and stalled and stalled – all-the-while continuing to enrich uranium to weapons-grade; getting ever-so-close to having a nuclear bomb. At the same time, the extra time they were wasting was increasing the risks to the entire region as they continued to develop their ballistic missile arsenal. President Trump, having warned them 10 days ago that they had 10 more days to “make a deal” had agreed with Israel it was time. But, as I said, the plan was to attack tonight. And then something remarkable happened. Israeli intelligence picked up that the top Iranian leaders including the Ayatollah, were about to meet, providing the United States and Israel with an opportunity no one saw coming: the opportunity to take out several of the psychopathic regime’s leaders at one time. Suddenly, “Operation Epic Fury” had to be moved up in time. And it was.
